Word of the Day: Jumentous

Definition: Smelling of horse urine.

This wonderfully specific word lends itself to many uses. While the literal, descriptive use could be bandied about in a variety of situations, I think it could be much better used as a metaphorical adjective.

Gary, that’s an absolutely jumentous idea.

(Gary: Thanks!)

Just remembered that the French word for “mare” is “jument” ʒymɑ̃.
